Recently I heard from a few readers that supermodel Heidi Klum changed her name to Heidi Samuel. Supposedly she has not decided whether to use the name professionally or continue using 'Heidi Klum' as her stage name. I hope she keeps Klum.

Here's why.

'Heidi Klum' adds up to 13/4. As you know, I don't USUALLY recommend a 13/4 current name number to my clients. Though I have made exceptions. That's because 13 is the 'Genius' number.

13 represents transformation, risk and warns of the unknown and unexpected. It symbolizes strength and an out-of-the-box, unpredictable life of discovery and exploration.

A genius mind is attracted to these qualities and actually benefits from them. The flipside is that geniuses toy with mental instability and destruction.

Heidi Klum certainly has explored many of her talents, more than most ever will. She is a supermodel, actress, television host, business woman, fashion designer, television producer, artist, and occasional singer. She has hosted and produced shows in both her native Germany and the U.S.

Additionally, she designs clothing lines for men and women, jewelry, makeup, video games and has two fragrances.

Not surprisingly, her personal life has reflected some of the unexpected challenges of her 13 name number. I won't go into the details here. Suffice it to say that Klum's life is a whirlwind and reflects her highly active genius mind.

Here's what's so important to remember.

Luckily for Heidi Klum, NONE of her important birth numbers add up to 4 or 8. If they HAD, her 13/4 name would have caused a lot more challenges. I recommend Heidi NOT change her stage name to Heidi Samuel, a highly challenging 29/11 name number.

'Heidi Klum' has brought out her vitality, her incredible range of gifts and her thirst for change, discoveries and exploration. It works for her.

Examples of this destruction are Amy Winehouse and Tatum O'Neal who have 13 current names.

Other famous folks who have this powerful name number are Mickey Rourke, John Adams - a man of genius and many talents - Johnny Depp, Ellen De Generes and Jackie Kennedy whose name Jacqueline Kennedy ALSO resonates to 13/4.

Again, some of these people have 4s and 8s in their birth blueprint, so major challenges came along with the power.

This is why certain people can benefit from some name numbers, when others won't. More than anything I recommend you have a name that supports you, attracts opportunities to you and brings you peace of mind.

Angelina Jolie takes herself way too seriously! I have pointed this out to many of my female friends and they tell me that "I'm afraid of a powerful woman". This isn't true at all. Men just like a woman with a good positive vibe about her. Angelina doesn't have that cheerful aura about her. Megan seems like she would be a lot more fun to hang out with.

Is It Because Megan Fox is Younger?

Age really doesn't have anything to do with it. Megan is in her early 20's and Angelina is in her early 30's. This is a 10 year age difference, but it is not why men are more drawn to Fox. There is something to be said about the positive energy of youth, but even when Angelina was younger she seemed to take herself too seriously. More than anything she needs to smile a bit more.

Megan Fox Comes From a Modest Background

Angelina Jolie comes from a "Hollywood Family". Her dad is Jon Voight who was doing movies years before she was born. There is something to be said for a self-made star. Megan was born in Tenessee in a small family and began acting when she was 13. She began trained in acting and modeling at the age of 5. It took her 8 years before she got noticed. I'm sure her stunning looks helped, but it wasn't like she was an "overnight sensation".

Fake Tan, Plastic Surgery, etc...

Many women point to the work she has had done. Apparently she has had a couple of procedures done, but she was beautiful woman anyway. The tan and teeth whitening and the small procedures are just fine tuning. Megan Fox isn't a woman that looks plastic like Pamela Anderson. She is just flat-out sexy.

She Is In Great Shape

Angelina is in great shape as well, but has a tendency to get a bit too skinny. Megan Fox stays slim, but not in a way that looks unhealthy. Megan went from just being slim, to being toned for her role in Transformers. She admits to not enjoying working out, but does so anyway. If you look at her flat and toned stomach in Transformers, you realize that she did prep pretty hard for that role.

If you are a big Lady Gaga fan, I guess you would have known that her Monster Ball Tour is Canada and United States was a huge success.

Lady Gaga will make her next Monster Ball Tour pit-stop at United Kingdom and she will be performing at many cities, like Manchester, Liverpool, Glasgow and Cardiff and also Dublin in Ireland.

Monster Ball Tour came about when her joint concert tour with rapper Kanye West, titled Fame Kills, was suddenly cancelled. It began four days in Montreal after her latest album, Fame Monster, was released on 23 November 2009. The tour will continue into 2010 with venues also in Australia, New Zealand and even Japan!

Lady Gaga debuted into the music scene with her first album, Love Game, which catapulted to huge success. It was top of the charts in four countries, and it also topped the Billboard Top Electronic Albums chart in the United States. She gets her inspiration from rock musicians such as David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, as well as pop music artists such as Madonna and Michael Jackson. She is also known for her eclectic fashion sense and she never fails to surprise many with her one-of-a-kind outfits. She also claims that when she is writing music, she will be thinking about the clothes she wants to wear on stage as she believes everything comes together as performance art.

This is probably why her Monster Ball Tour concert is such a huge sell-out! Concert-goers will most likely be filled with anticipation with what she is going to wear and whether she will be performing any shocking acts.

The 30-year-old actress has revealed musician Josh Kelley hated watching her sexy scenes with Gerard Butler in upcoming film 'The Ugly Truth'.

When asked if Josh was comfortable with her getting intimate with the Scottish actor, Katherine said: "No, not really. It's not his favourite part of the profession but I told him, 'It's my job, and if I feel uncomfortable doing my job, and it suffers because of it, I'll kill you.' "

This is not the first time Katherine and Josh have had disagreements.

When they first moved in together, the couple argued constantly.

Katherine explained to Britain's Marie Claire magazine: "Josh and I didn't live together before we were married because I wanted to hang on to those last days of my single-girl pad as long as I could.

"I'm not going to lie - it was rough when we finally moved in together. It's the simple stuff everyone talks about. I like things neat, he leaves things everywhere."

But no matter how angry Josh gets, Katherine says she is "not ready" to stop doing romantic comedies.

She explained: "I know I'm catching some c**p for only doing romcoms, but I really like doing them. People keep asking me if I want to do anything more serious, or Oscar-worthy, and I do, but I'm not quite there yet.

"I did a lot of heavy stuff in 'Grey's Anatomy'. My mother went through breast cancer 12 years ago, and it brought a lot of that back. I don't want to do that 24/7."

Chances are Marisa Miller didn’t quite know what she was getting herself into when she signed on to compete in DIRECTV’s 4th Annual Celebrity Beach Bowl during the Super Bowl festivities in Miami on Saturday. The itty bitty beauty was knocked to the ground when actor Tom Arnold (on the opposing team) out-of-nowhere decided to jump her in the early portion of the friendly game.

“All of a sudden this big, sweaty guy was on top of me,” Miller, who snagged Most Valuable Player, lamented after the game.

Miller and Arnold joined the likes of Chace Crawford, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Lautner, Brian McKnight and Olivia Munn to compete in the no-holds-barred flag football game in front of thousands of screaming fans, under the guidance of team “coaches” quarterback Mark Sanchez of the NY Jets and NY Giants quarterback Eli Manning.

But the pigskin aside, Miller also told Pop Tarts that she plans to spread her wings overseas in the hope of visiting the troops soon as part of her work with Harley Davidson.

“We’re trying to work all the details of that (the trip) out now,” Miller said. “It’s been really great working with Harley Davidson as I’ve been doing a lot of stuff with the military through them. We did a campaign for the USO that was based on a 1940’s pinup, we shot calendars and promotional material to send to them. I get so many letters from overseas and I was really cool to do something for them and in honor of them, show them some love.”

The modeling gig has even inspired a new “addiction.”

“Before the fashion show I was working out and dieting. Then the holidays came and I ate a lot,” she explained. “My husband said ‘honey you look so much better after you’ve eaten a cheeseburger’. I think I went too hard before the show, you want to do your best – you’re in-motion and you’re moving. But I realized I do feel better a little curvier and more womanly, it is just important to keep your curves tight. Hearing my husband, who sees me more than anyone, say I look better after a cheeseburger is absolutely fine with me!”

But back to the subject of competition, is it possible that there is a little fighting, or shall we say 'twighting' between Taylor Lautner and Kellan Lutz?

Kellan Lutz turned up to the Super Bowl Audi Party at the W Hotel’s penthouse on Friday night a little after Lautner – but apparently neither went out of their way to say hi, at least not initially.

Hmmm, perhaps Lutz just couldn’t get past the bunch of burly security guards that Lautner had hovering over him the entire time he was in Miami. In fact, that kind of became the running joke among journalists and PR peeps throughout the festivities – Lautner turning up to a slew of soirees with the quite the “entourage”, and refusing to do interviews. However the two vampires did sit side-by-side the following day while signing autographs at the DirecTV Celebrity Beach Bowl.

And FYI, Lutz is definitely back on with on-again/off-again girlfriend AnnaLynne McCord. The two couldn’t contain their affection at director Michael Bay’s Giving Back Fund/Dewar’s Signature party at his stunning Miami residence on Saturday evening, as they hung out with lovers Ed Westwick and Jessica Szohr, while fellow “Gossip Girl” Chace Crawford worked the industry-laden room like a pro.

Meanwhile Venus and Serena Williams both attended the ESPN The Magazine’s “Next” event at the Fontainebleau, however they arrived separately and refused to pose for pics together. According to an insider, the sporting sisters possibly had some kind of rift, although they were spotted together earlier that day at the Tide Febreeze launch and BET SOS party.

And it seems cute couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Minnillo were a little affected by the South Beach breeze and bumper-to-bumper traffic at the Maxim Super Bowl bash at the Raleigh on Saturday night.

“They got into a bit of a disagreement,” an eyewitness said. “The traffic was so bad when they were leaving that Nick didn’t want to take the car service and just walk (to their next party stop), but it was a bit cold and windy, Vanessa was tired and wanted to take the car.”

(Note to Nick: us ladies can’t walk too far in high heels!)

However one young lady (who is pretty used to confrontations in her personal/professional life) managed to stay out of trouble over the weekend. Well, at least that kind of trouble.

According to our Pop Tarts spy, “The Hills” hottie Kristin Cavallari may have had a few too many while living it up at hot spot TAO; apparently she toppled to the ground and even had to be carried out of the Miami club. Yikes.

Billy Ray Cyrus on August 25, 1961, to Ron Cyrus and Ruth Ann Adkins. He initially went to Georgetown College on a baseball scholarship, but after buying a guitar and playing it, decided to switch his focus to music. He has had a phenomenal career, both in acting and his music for the last 16 years. And this Billy Ray Cyrus biography is here for you to learn about him!

Billy signed with Mercury records, and began to record for his first album, Some Gave All. Released in 1992 the album sold about 15 million copies! (Not only was his music made popular, but also his famous mullet hairstyle. Business at the front, party at the back!) I think none of us will forget his light single Achy Breaky Heart from the album. He became a household name in a matter of 6 weeks! It topped "top country albums" and "billboard 200" for 34 weeks and 17 weeks respectively.

He then continued with It Won't Be The Last. It debuted at #1 and went platinum in the U.S. it featured the hit single, In The Heart Of A Woman.Storm in the heartland was released in 1994, and went gold. Many albums followed, Trail of Tears, Southern Rain, Time Flies, The Other Side, Wanna be Your Joe, and Home at Last. Home at last also featured the hit single, ready, set, don't go.

Recently, he also recorded the Cars soundtrack, Real Gone, for Country sings Disney. (For those of you who think he's a hillbilly, watch him rock out the party with Real Gone - Originally composed and sung by Sheryl Crow.

ACTING
He used to star in the PAX TV show, Doc. He has also acted in "Elvis left the building", "Mulholland drive", "Radical jack", "wish you were dead". He is currently starring in the hit Disney channel TV series, Hannah Montana, as Miley/ hannah's father, Robbie Ray Stewart. They are now filming the Hannah Montana Movie, in Tennessee.

He was a hit with the fans when he participated in "Dancing with the Stars". He and his partner made it till the eighth week of the competition, when they were eliminated. He also hosted the CMT awards with his daughter, Miley Cyrus, and starred in his CMT production, Home at Last.

PERSONAL LIFE
From 1986 to 1991, Billy Ray was married to Cindy Smith. In 1992, he wed Leticia Finley "Tish". He has two daughters and a son. His two daughters being Miley Ray Cyrus (born as Destiny Hope) and Noah Lindsey, and his son being Braison Chance. He has two stepchildren, Trace and Brandi. Also, a son, Christopher Cody, from a previous relationship.

His daughter Miley (AKA Hannah Montana) can safely be called the most popular teen girl in the world. She stars in the Disney channel hit series Hannah Montana, alongside Billy Ray. She also has performed many concerts, most recently the best of both worlds tour.

There have been a number of controversies surrounding him and his daughter Miley, but let's remember Billy Ray in all his glory!

In the midst of child stars who grow up to be adult actors in their own right, vivacious actress Eva Mendes claims how glad she is that she started her own career off when she was already grown up. The American bombshell first gained star status at the relatively mature age of 28 in 2003's action car flick "2 Fast 2 Furious." She states that she feels very lucky to have had enough maturity from the very beginning of her career, unlike many members of young Hollywood who appear to lack the said maturity when dealing with the pressures of fame.

Eva states: "There are a lot of lost little souls in Hollywood - a lot of young women who have so much, who come into fame and fortune when they are young, and it's very difficult to handle that.

"I just thank my lucky stars for being an adult before being an actress."

Besides the maturity issue, she also claims how upset she is by rumors that she often gets catty with her female co-stars. The press often bugs this "The Women" star about her alleged disputes, and she gets really annoyed in the process. She explains that her getting bitchy and insecure around other women as beautiful as she is is a downright stereotype and should not be taken seriously in any way.

Eva says: "It's a very sexist way of thinking. Nobody ever asks that when men work together in an ensemble cast. I have been in the business 10 years and I've never had a negative situation with another actress - ever!"

Her co-stars in "The Women" include Meg Ryan, Annette Bening, Jada Pinkett Smith, Candice Bergen, Carrie Fisher, Debi Mazar and Debra Messing-lovely ladies all. The comedy film, directed by Diane English, is an updated version of the 1939 film of the same name directed by George Cukor, which was itself based on a 1936 play written by Clare Booth Luce. Jessica Alba Has Come a Long Way

The world’s sexiest woman of 2007 started on the lowest rung of Hollywood before she achieved her current stardom today. Jessica Alba first appeared on two national TV ads (JC Penney and Nintendo), and then landed the role of Jessica in Nickelodeon’s The Secret World of Alex Mack in 1994. She was also cast as Maya in the first two seasons of Flipper which was shot in Australia. Jessica’s first film appearance was in Camp Nowhere, playing the role of Gail. She later joined in several independent films. She became widely familiar to the masses after playing a part of a snobby high school clique in Never Been Kissed (Drew Barrymore film) and as the female lead in Idle Hands (with Devon Sawa).
Her biggest break, however, was in the sci-fi series Dark Angel. Jessica Alba was personally chosen by the show’s writer/director James Cameron for the role of the genetically-engineered super-soldier Max Guevara, the show’s main character. Her show ran for two seasons then it was cancelled. The good thing was that Jessica received several awards for her turn as Max including Choice Actress in the Teen Choice Awards 2001. Kathryn Bailey Beckinsale (b. July 26, 1973) is an only child to British television actors Richard Beckinsale and Judy Loe. Her father, who was well-loved by the public, died when she was just six years old. In 1991, Kate took up French and Russian literature at the Oxford University's New College although she already knew then that she wanted to be an actress.

In 1993, she got her big break when she was cast in the film adaptation of Much Ado About Nothing. This project proved to be a major turning point in her life she met actor Michael Sheen, her companion for nine years and the father of her daughter Lily. She was part of three other European productions and was given the opportunity to study French language and Parisian culture via a study-abroad program in Oxford. She eventually dropped out of her studies to pursue an acting career.

Kate continued to appear in British theater productions and British television series. In the late '90s, she landed roles in a couple of forgettable films. It was in 2001 that she got her big break as she was cast in the World War II drama Pearl Harbor. My Review

I love Kate. She's so beautiful and she has that cute English accent. I loved her Underworld and Van Helsing performances, but my favorite Kate movie is Serendipity. Kate has a talent and beauty, and she deserves to be seen more. So, give her some amazing Oscar winning role, please!

Kate Beckinsale is with no doubt my favorite actress. She has a certain charm to her that in my opinion brings a lot of movies up a full letter grade. I hope that she is lucky enough to find another movie like Underworld that can somewhat keep up with her.

A pouty and pretty strawberry blonde New Yorker who commenced her career a child actor with instincts, skills and a streetwise grace that far outpaced her age, Scarlett Johansson first came to attention playing the daughter of Sean Connery and Kate Capshaw terrorized by Blair Underwood in "Just Cause" (1995). Having made her stage debut at age eight in 1993's "Sophistry" at Playwrights Horizons Theatre, the young player also studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute. Her screen debut in Rob Reiner's disastrous "North" (1994) was less than memorable, but Johansson has maintained an even career, impressing with her fully-realized characterizations in nearly every showing.

She got noticed as one of Eric Schaeffer's wise charges in "If Lucy Fell" and took a co-starring role in the understated independent "Manny & Lo" (both 1996), a perfect vehicle for the actress to prove her talents. Johansson's finely crafted portrayal of Amanda (Manny), a rather sensible 11-year-old who escapes from a foster home and runs away with her 16-year old sister Laurel (Lo) earned her critical praise and led directly to her casting in the high profile but disappointing 1997 release "Home Alone 3" and the highly-anticipated romance "The Horse Whisperer" (1998). In the latter, Johansson landed the coveted role of Grace, a youngster who suffers a physically and emotionally debilitating riding accident. When her mother (Kristin Scott Thomas) turns to a horse trainer (Robert Redford) for assistance, romance blooms, and as Johansson turned what could have been little more than a two-dimensional plot device into a full-fledged character, an actress bloomed.

All but disappearing after this film-saving turn, the performer resurfaced three years later in the independent favorite "Ghost World" (2001), starring alongside Thora Birch as the more pragmatic of two best friends who have just graduated from high school and are making plans for the future amidst their own adventures, both real and invented. Snarky but somehow sweet, her Rebecca didn't get the screen time and controversial storyline of compatriot Enid (Birch) but nonetheless impressed in her smaller role. Later that year, she played a young Hungarian girl left behind when her refugee family flees their homeland in a Cold War political climate in "An American Rhapsody" and earned even more indie cred as a piano-playing teenager who catches the attention of a crafty barber (Billy Bob Thornton) in the Coen brothers' acclaimed period noir "The Man Who Wasn't There". Taking a break from this more heady material, Johansson would next battle giant spiders in the surprisingly fun sci-fi comedy "Eight-Legged Freaks" (2002).

Johansson's true breakout performance would come--like gangbusters--in "Lost in Translation" (2003), writer-director Sophia Coppola's wonderfully romantic film about Charlotte, an emotionally adrift young married tourist in her 20s, left to her own devices in Tokyo while her self-involved photographer husband is on a shoot, who meets and forms a deep, complex relationship with Bob Harris (Bill Murray) an equally disaffected 50-something Hollywood actor. The actress--only 18 during filming--is a revelation in the picture, displaying a rare, multilayered chemistry with Murray despite their age difference. Their rapport, a first tenative, then confident and cozy and then suddenly awkward and sexual, fuels the movie and carries many scenes completely without dialogue. Her subtle yet knockout performance, wildly praised by critics, was posied to rocket Johansson to new career heights. Hot on the heels of that role, Johansson also dazzled audiences in the indie "Girl With a Pearl Earring" (2003), a speculative account of the life of Griet, a 16-year-old girl who appears in Johannes Vermeer's (Colin Firth's) most famous painting. As a result of her two strong 2003 performances, at age 19 Johansson received a pair Golden Globe nominations--one for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Drama (for "Girl With a Pearl Earring") and another for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy (for "Lost In Translation").

Johansson's next vehicle, made before her big breakout, was the limp teen caper movie "The Perfect Score" (2004) in which she played the thrillseeking, daddy-loathing member of a gang of high school students plotting an ambitious scheme to swipe the key to the SAT exam, and she voiced Mindy in the animated "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" (2004). She was better served with a pair of challenging roles released simultaneously at the end of 2004: first, she added depth to her supporting role as the daughter of a middle-aged ad salesman (Dennis Quaid) who becomes involved with her father's new young boss (Topher Grace) in writer-director Paul Weitz's adult comedy "In Good Company"; next, she played the headstrong teen Pursy Will, who returns to her late mother's home to unexpectedly share it with a pair of booze-soaked intellecutal boarders (John Travolta and Gabriel Macht) for the Southern-influenced character drama "A Love Song for Bobby Long." In both films Johansson's potent combination of adolencent freshness and wise-beyond-her-years maturity helped breath a compelling realism into her roles.

She is a very beautiful actress, and I think her performances are really well done and she is simply awesome. I have seen her in The Prestige and the Tokyo Diaries for example, and she is simply one of the best actresses, I have seen, veyr underrated. I really like her. She is so cool.The thing that I like about Scarlett Johansson is the same thing that I dislike about her. I think that she is mature beyond her years, but I think that because she knows this, she has somewhat of an arrogant air about her. I think she's a talented actress, but I am not buying into all of the hype surrounding her until she does more substantial roles.

When I was watching Friends, I became an eye witness of her change. In the beginning of Friends she was a fat girl (in scale of Hollywood) with a bad haircut and bad style then in every season she became more stylish and beautiful and in the end she became a gorgeous queen of style and fashion. I totally love her, she is beautiful, sweet and lovely but at the same time she is real and sincere.

If she were to try to be an actress, she would be one of the absolute worst! My advice to her would be to stick to what makes money. Underwood will never be successful in other genres of music because of her voice being too country. I also would advise that she stop acting like such a spoiled snob. It was hard deciding whether to list her as "talentless" or "spoiled brat". I would have gone with talentless, because I wouldn't want anyone to think I'm implying she's a spoiled brat who has a little bit of talent, but almost everyone else went with "talentless" so I decided to shake it up a little and go with something different.

Anyway does anybody, anybody at all, actually like this person? Paris might be the most universally hated person in the entire world. She's not only talentless, she's a total airhead, and she's not even attractive. She's not ugly, but she's far from "movie star beautiful". I know getting sick of paris Hilton is a vast understatement, but I have to say that I am extremely sick of her. I can't undertsand why she has stayed so famous. Britney Spears is now so high-concept, such a distillation of what made pop singers like Paula Abdul, Janet Jackson and Madonna so fabulously marketable, that her third record, Britney, is a concept album about herself. She's "Overprotected." She's "Lonely." She's "Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman." Britney just wants to be Britney, this self-reflexive CD reasons, even as everyone around her is feverishly constructing "Britney" the product.
Just as Abdul was a choreographer who sang and Madonna is a performance artist who makes music, this former Mouseketeer is a nice actress playing the part of a bubblegum icon intent on being teasingly naughty. Never has a female star courted the preteen and trench-coat crowds so simultaneously and shamelessly. Although she at first appeared to be choking back psychological pain while executing coy dance moves and signature guttural gasps, Spears now seems like she's in on and enjoying the joke scripted for her. And just as Janet Jackson claimed Control while aspiring to adulthood, Spears aches to put her own authorial stamp on the "Britney" story. Despite Britney's five co-songwriting credits, her music is ultimately driven by producers who must work around her vocal limitations. But an identity is now asserting itself: Britney is by far her most personable album, the most consistently playful and the least wince-inducing. Producer Rodney Jerkins' hip-hop blaspheming of Joan Jett's "I Love Rock 'n' Roll" doesn't go as far as it should (is a Limp Bizkit remix in its future?), but it certainly beats what her earlier studio architects did to those Sonny and Cher and Stones songs.

Although they're not the album's most melodious cuts, the Neptunes' "I'm a Slave 4 U" and "Boys" could be Britney's most important. This ultra-hot hip-hop duo feeds Prince's girl group Vanity 6 ("Nasty Girl"), Rick James' female foursome the Mary Jane Girls ("Boys"), and Jam and Lewis' pivotal Janet production ("Nasty") into their own studio machine. The resulting montage of 1980s-R&B male fantasies clings bizarrely close to its sources while feeding Spears avant-soul beats designed to carry her into twenty-first-century urban adulthood. It works: The "get it, get it" chant of "Slave" delivers classic "Britney"-ness, while "Boys" whips out a surprisingly tuneful bridge that dramatically rescues an estrogen-dripping but otherwise negligible song.

Swedish teen-pop pioneer Max Martin and partner Rami reunite for tracks that link the international, kid-friendly sound of Spears' previous album, Oops! . . . I Did It Again, to her recent American R&B update. "Overprotected," "Cinderella" and "Bombastic Love" bear the expected monster choruses, familiar modulations and emotionally impulsive lyrical themes. Yet their grooves are sharper and their arrangements have more sonic twinkle. Once you get beyond its cringeworthy title, "I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" supplies the weighty ballad Spears has craved and can now handle. Co-written by Dido, Martin and Rami, the track ruminates with sophisticated chords that complement the prefab sleaze and calculated rebellion elsewhere on the album.

Jerkins' other productions, "Lonely" and "Let Me Be," improve upon his previous contributions to the teen-pop canon (Spice Girls, 'NSync). He is compositionally teamed with Josh Schwartz and Brian Kierulf, unheralded third-tier teen-pop producers (Aaron Carter, LFO, 2gether) who here transcend their filler-supplying status, particularly with the tracks they produce themselves. Spears usually puts on her cutesy, ironic "Material Girl" actor voice when she's not channeling understated Janet bravado, but on "Anticipating," a euphoric Rick Astley flashback, and "That's Where You Take Me," a sincere electro-ballad, she emotes without framing her vocals in Nickelodeon-schooled theatricality. Sugary and sparkly in a great way, these are the unexpected baubles that make the album more than a sonic Spears infomercial.

Still, Britney belabors the obvious: Spears is one month away from entering her twenties and clearly needs to grow up if she's going to bring her fans along. Her Lolita shtick is nearly past its expiration date, and the growing pains presented throughout the album too often come across as contrived. While she's envisioning herself as a renegade fairy-tale princess, other gals her age are contemplating college majors, contraception and motherhood. America itself has aged abruptly over the past two months, perhaps too quickly for "Britney," Britney or even Britney. Time will tell whether any of her incarnations remain relevant in an era that's suddenly not that innocent.

How much chemotherapy does an obese woman need? Typically an obese woman with breast cancer would receive reduced doses of chemotherapy as they battle breast cancer. Back in June of 2005, a study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine concluded that obese women should receive chemotherapy based on their actual women, and not in reduced as amounts as it the standard practice. And now again a study presented in the August 2005 edition of Lancet claims that doctors should not reduce chemotherapy doses for obese women when no receptors for the hormone oestrogen have been found on the breast cancer cells. This type of cancer is called oestrogen-receptor negative.Clinicians often reduce chemotherapy doses for obese patients because of worries about how the treatment may react with the patient and affect their overall health. According to the study’s director Marco Colleoni of the European Institute of Oncology, Italy, and his colleagues, reducing the first course of chemotherapy for obese patients with oestrogen-receptor negative breast cancer proves “detrimental”.Colleoni and his team looked at the relation between body-mass index (BMI), chemotherapy dose reduction, oestrogen receptor expression, and outcome for pre-menopausal women with breast cancer by examining data from four randomized trials. They found that 97 out of 249 obese patients received less than protocol specified dose during the first course of chemotherapy compared with patients with normal and intermediate BMI. Obese patients with oestrogen-receptor negative disease that received 85 more of the first protocol specified dose had significantly better disease-free survival and overall survival than those who received less than the normally recommended dosage. Yet, obese patients with oestrogen-receptor positive breast cancer who had reduced doses of chemotherapy did not have a significant difference in their outcome compared with those given the recommended chemotherapy doses. And contrary to popular practice, the researchers also noticed that obese patients initially treated with protocol doses of chemotherapy did not have more toxicity than patients who received reduced doses.Dr Marco Colleoni concluded that, “Our findings suggest that for women with ER-absent or ER-low tumours, reduction in chemotherapy dose should be avoided.”The message for obese women coping with cancer is to be aware of your risks and rights. 1) ANGER: When Anger or another problem enters a relationship A woman will want to repair the situation or problem before any sex. A man will think that making love will make it all right again.

2) TOUCHING: For women touching without sex is comforting and very soothing. They find that the touching gives a warm feeling of security. However for men touching without sex can easily be misunderstood and he can even feel threatened.Please understand that when men touch each other, it is in a rough manner. They slap or punch each other on the back. Tender touching makes many men feel vulnerable and dependent. These have been seen by men to be un masculine. Men find it uncomfortable with so much closeness. It makes them feel vulnerable.However women are not comfortable without this type of intimacy.

3) TELEPHONE: Men use the telephone or mobile phone as a communication device. It is to send short messages to each other.However women see the telephone differently. 4) SEX: When it comes to foreplay, women prefer 40-45 minutes of foreplay. However men on the other hand prefer 40-45 seconds of foreplay before sex

5) GOING OUT: When a man says he is ready to go out, it means he is ready to go out. However when a woman says she is ready to go out, it means she is ready, as soon as she finds her other piece of jewellery and makes just one more phone call.

6) SHOPPING: Women can shop all day and enjoy the whole experience. Its a chance to talk. They use talk to build and sustain connections with others. However men just want finish and close the situation. Its their nature. One can view this difference anytime with couples in shopping malls.

7) BATHROOMS: A man has on average around 5-6 items in his bathroom. A woman on the other hand has over 200 items in her bathroom. Make no attempt to ask a man to identify all these items.

8) DRESSING UP: A woman will dress up to go shopping, gardening, answer the phone, or get the post. A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

9) CHILDREN: A woman knows all about her children. She knows about doctors and dentists appointments. All their friends, their favorite and not so favorite foods, plus their secret fears and their hopes and dreams. Most men, though not as many as years ago, are aware of some short people sharing the home.

10) TOYS: Little girls love to play with toys. Then when they reach the age of approximately 12, they seem to lose the interest. However, men NEVER grow out of their obsession with toys. Just about every girl dreams about Prom but, as the big day approaches, many start to suffer from nerves. This is almost always because they've left things to the last minute. Here are some tips about when to start looking, when to buy, when to find accessories, when to order flowers and when to plan all the other numerous details involved in getting your designer prom dress to look perfect for Prom.
3 Months Before Prom
You really need to start looking now for your designer prom dress; ideally you should have started sooner. It's important to have an idea of what designer you like best and what style will best complement your body shape: Are you a glamorous Jovani prom dress girl, or a modest Tiffany prom dress girl? Choosing the perfect gown is what should take the most time; so start thinking ahead early. Tip: try and find as many of the accessories at the same time you choose your dress. 2 Months Before Prom

"Would you consider yourself someone with high self esteem, or low self esteem?" The natural reaction when asked a question like this may well be "high self esteem of course!", but the truth may paint a very different picture.
Self esteem for women, especially, seems to be generally lower than it should be, and unfortunately far too often accompanied by poor body image. Why then are so many women subject to this deprecating state of mind? Perhaps it comes back to the natural laws of femininity. You see, a woman in her natural, feminine state has an in-built desire to radiate beauty. It's the very reason that we women wear make-up, shave our legs, wax our eyebrows, love to shop, etc.
If that desire for beauty extended to finding that which we already have, it would be an absolute blessing. Unfortunately however, the unhealthy side of that desire for beauty, is in seeking it externally and creating unhealthy comparisons to others.
This damaging act of comparison is concerning enough in its own right, but consider who we are really comparing ourselves against. Whether consciously or not, we are most certainly using the media images that we're constantly bombarded with as a benchmark for what is the 'right' size, body shape or look.
The problem with that is this; the women in the media - actresses, singers, models, etc - are in front of the camera for a living! Their livelihood revolves around how good they look with their faces and bodies featured up close and personal on giant screens around the world. I'm certain just about anyone in the same position would make it an absolute priority to ensure there isn't a scrap of fat to be seen, or a single hair out of place. They have the money, the resources and, most importantly, extreme motivation to ensure that this standard is always maintained - and all too often at the cost of their health.
The other problem with using the media as a benchmark can be found in the simple act of picking up a magazine. It only takes a quick flip through the pages of any women's fashion magazine to make even a woman with great self esteem feel like a fat pig! Between the scarily thin catwalk models, and the lighting, make up, good photography, and of course airbrushing and photoshop techniques, the end result is that we find ourselves envying a picture of a woman who isn't even real.
In fact, for a wonderful example of what's involved in creating the finished look of a model in a print advertisement, I highly encourage you to watch the video that Dove put together as part of their Campaign for Real Beauty.
Naturally none of this is to say that we shouldn't care about our appearance, or enjoy making ourselves look and feel beautiful, but simply that if we must peg ourselves against a benchmark, perhaps we should consider someone more realistic.
It's so important to keep ourselves healthy from the inside out, and that includes our mind... Don't let these unrealistic images of beauty fool you into thinking you're not good enough the way you are.
My tip for this is to make a list of everything you like about yourself from the inside out. In fact, one exercise I did was to go through my body parts one by one and write down why I loved them. I can assure you that when I got to my thighs, I found it a little challenging, but I managed to come up with how much I love that they are strong and carry me wherever I want to go!
Don't let the negative thoughts creep in, they are like a cancer for your mind... find reasons to love everything about who you are, in all your fabulous individuality!

So, you probably have already tried oodles of products to see what works best for your oily, slightly harrowing skin. I'm sure if your medicine cabinet looks anything like mine, you have spent a small fortune on skin care and ways to tame the oil and breakouts. Well, while brainstorming with my team, I found out that I am not the only one who faces battle (no pun intended) every time I go to the store to find products that work for oily skin. Below are a few of the regimens my other oily skin, acne-prone colleagues and I use and swear by. I hope you can find a regimen in here that works just right for you too! Beauty on a Budget (Routines less than $25)--Drugstore.com Neutrogena Cleanser: Rapid Clear Oil-Control Foaming Cleanser (6 oz.) $7.39 Moisturizer: Oil-Free Anti-Acne Moisturizer (1.7 oz.) $6.99 Total: $14.38 -This is a great regimen for someone who wants a no-hassle, no-frills routine that works! I personally use this routine when traveling or when my skin is out of control and quickly needs to be whipped back into shape. The moisturizer is light and non-greasy and the cleanser actually does what it says in preventing excess oil production on your face. Please note, this routine probably works best for those who have oily skin as opposed to actual breakouts.
Clean & Clear Cleanser: Advantage Acne Cleanser (5 oz.) $5.96 Moisturizer: Advantage Oil-Free Acne Moisturizer Salicylic Acne Medication (4 oz.) $6.29 Treatment: Advantage Acne Spot Treatment (0.75 oz.) $5.99 Total: $18.24 -This routine has worked for a few of my team members, but beware it can strip skin of necessary moisture and may burn slightly if overused. From all contributing parties, I gathered that this is a routine that is best used only for a short period of time, probably 4 weeks or less. The moisturizer is a tad bit heavy so only a very small amount is needed and is best applied when the skin is still slightly damp (such as directly after being pat dry from washing).
L'Oreal Cleanser: Pure Zone Skin Clearing Foaming Cleanser (6.7 oz.) $5.19 Toner: Pure Zone Pore Tightening Astringent (6.7 oz.) $5.19 Moisturizer: Pure Zone Skin Relief Oil-Free Moisturizer (2.5 oz.) $5.19 Total: $15.57 -Once again, this is a great routine that I have tried myself. The cleanser is great and so is the astringent. With this regimen, I would also highly recommend using less of the moisturizer, because it is a bit thick. The following instructions detail what I did to get the best results out of this routine: 1) Wash face with lukewarm water + cleanser 2) Pat face dry, and make sure there is no excess moisture left on the skin 3) Let face air dry further for about 20 seconds 4) Apply a dime-size amount of the astringent onto a cotton ball and swab face gently (you don't need a lot of astringent for it to work, so don't try and over saturate your face with astringent, this will leave a sticky residue behind if you do.) 5) Let astringent dry on face for about 1 minute, this will allow face to dry but still be slightly damp. 6) Apply a half a dime-size amount of moisturizer to face, in an even layer.

-A routine that is highly favored by many on my team, and a great fallback when nothing else is working for myself, this regimen has a cooling effect which helps reduce swelling if you are having breakouts. Please note, even though this routine is for oily or acne-prone skin, everyone's skin and tolerance is different. You may need to adjust the "Treatment" in the A.M. or P.M. regimen. Excessive use of the Skin Peel or Anti-Blemish Gel can cause irritation. I would suggest starting with the Nordic Skin Peel about 3 times per week. Go from there, and add or subtract the treatments as you see fit. However, once you get the exact routine that works best for you, you will be amazed at the results of this product. P.S. I am absolutely addicted to the Face Wash.
I hope some of these regimens help you in your quest for perfect skin. It is a daily battle that can be won; it just takes persistence, patience, and drinking lots of water! And remember, everyone is different, though some of these regimens have worked well for my team and I, it doesn't mean you will necessarily have the same great results. You can start by determining whether you really want to have sex or not. Do not allow yourself to be pressured into doing something you might not want to. Though it's good to share experiences with your close friends, do not allow them to dictate you. Have a good sense to think for your self. Keep in mind that abstinence is also a good thing. Wouldn't it be much wiser to wait for a little while than go rushing headlong into something you barely have an understanding on?
And just because you have decided to delay the sexual act doesn't mean you have to be ignorant about it. Learn all you can about sex and familiarize yourself with the concept of safe sex. Surf the internet, read pamphlets and pay attention to sex education courses available in your school. Know all you can about contraceptives, especially on using a condom. This is because the condom is probably the only contraceptive conveniently available to people your age. Be wary of hearsays and information passed by friends, as most are proven to inaccurate, if not completely unfounded.
Know that there are a lot of options available for you in preventing unwanted pregnancies and getting sexually transmitted diseases (STDs), the most convenient and affordable of which is the condom. Though these contraceptive devices cannot completely assure 100% efficacy, it would certainly reduce the risks and help in AIDS prevention, especially if the condom is put on properly and is adequately lubricated.
If you feel a little hesitant in purchasing a condom in public, there's the option of obtaining it online and having it shipped right to your house. When you are in a romantic relationship, chances are things will take a sexual turn sooner or later. If you are a boy, practice putting on a condom and using it properly. As much as possible, avoid sex when you are drunk or high on drugs, as these can lower your inhibitions and make you reckless enough to throw caution to the wind. In times like these, you might forget to put on a condom. STDs and HIV can strike just about anyone, anywhere. Once you have started having an active sexual life, have a regular medical check up and seek a doctor at the first sign if anything seems out of the ordinary.

Perfumes have been around for centuries. People extract the oils from plants and animals the mix this with water and alcohol to create the right scent that people will want to wear.

The most important ingredient in creating your own perfume is the essential oils. Each one has a different chemical composition so those who want to start perfume making have to know the difference between a base, middle, top and bridge notes.
There are books and other related information on the Internet as well as kits that come with an instructional manual and other things inside that will be needed for mixing and storing the finished product.
The first step in perfume making is the combination of the oils. You should first mix a few drops each of the essential oils. It must always have a correct percentage of base, middle and top note.
It may not smell that good yet and that is why the next type of essential oil is needed. This is known as the bridge note that blends everything together to create the perfect scent.
After the essential oils have been mixed, it is the time to pour alcohol into the mixture. Some manufacturers have also used an Everclear beverage that is also works as an alcohol base.
The general rule when combining essential oils with alcohol is that a maximum of 20 drops must be administered for every 4 ml. of alcohol.

The perfume should be stored in a coloured bottle to prevent it from being exposure to light. After two days, the contents can then be placed in a sprayer bottle so that it can be used.
You also have the option of storing it for a longer period of time should you wish. It is best to check on the scent from time to time to make sure nothing is amiss. If you are are not satisfied add a little more oil into the fragrance and wait for a few more days for it to settle in.
Those who do this properly will notice that the scent will stay longer on the skin as some will just disappear within a few minutes.
There are various methods in making perfumes and this will really depend on the taste of the person developing it. Those who want it to last longer can pour more of a base essential oil rather than the middle or top. The important thing is that the person should follow the proper steps in making this happen.
A valuable tip when working with essential oils is to keep clear notes on everything. You will surely make some mistakes along the way but reviewing each stage will make it easy to narrow down where the error was committed.

It's disturbing when you become aware that your partner is abusing alcohol. Chances are the abuse and awareness both developed slowly and only when things got far out of control, did you notice. Most of us are good at not looking until we're forced to, it's called denial and mostly it's a healthy coping mechanism. However, with some conditions it's counterproductive. This is one of those conditions.
So, you have now awakened to the fact that there is an alcohol problem. What triggered this new awareness - bail requests, DUI's, bounced checks, etc. - doesn't really matter. You can, of course, delay doing anything productive by simply wrangling about these symptoms of alcohol abuse. Most people do, usually for years.
Why the delay? Sometimes it's the hope that the problem will just go away, and occasionally it does, for a while. Understandably, none of us really wants to head down the bleak road of alcoholism and treatment.
Additionally, and embarrassingly, there is also a certain allure in being connected to a drunk. Their problems overshadow yours and, in comparison, you always look good, to yourself and others. You are the long suffering one who never has to think about cleaning up your own act since theirs is so much worse and so obviously in need of attention. Of course you also have the permanent upper hand in any disputes and a good reason for absolutely anything you might be doing. Those are a lot of generally unacknowledged benefits to give up.
And, in a perverse way, if the drinking and its effects have become intolerable to you, working at fixing it means focusing on yourself, and these "benefits," not your "other," and not on the drinking. You need to begin with yourself because it’s all you can do. You need a new set of benefits.
In a word, you "disengage," both from his alcohol problem, and your sainthood.
If it's time for a change, it's important to remember that you can't change anyone but yourself, though that may be enough. As you change, those around you must too as they seek to establish a new balance in your relationship. No, you can't predict or control how or what they will do, and that's the scary part, but they will change. They may quit or modify their drinking; or decide they prefer their bottle to you and leave; or transfer their obsession to "recovery;" or vacillate for as long as you tolerate it. That decision may eventually be yours, but if you've been preparing yourself you will be able to make decent choices.
Yes, there are things you stop doing - mostly protecting the drunk from the logical consequences of their drinking. You don't post bail; visit them in jail; listen to intoxicated monologues; lie to their employers or families. On the active side, you do separate assets, accounts, and other financial matters as completely as possible. You find new activities to do with others and you do them regardless of complaints and manipulations. You look after your health. If you have children you look at ways to insure their safety and security.
The best part is that in taking care of yourself and improving your life you will feel much better about yourself and won't need a drunk to make you look good. You will look good and be good in your own right. That's a considerable achievement.
As women, we tend to wait for someone else to take the lead, but if we won't stand up for ourselves, why would anyone else? So stand up, you'll be glad you did.

While doing my search for this idea, I came across something interesting on the web. At a hospital the relatives gathered in the waiting room, where a family member lay gravely ill. Finally, the doctor came in looking tired and serious. Surveying the worried faces, the doctor said, "I'm afraid I'm the bearer of bad news. The only hope left for your loved one at this time is a brain transplant. It's an experimental procedure, very risky, you will have to pay for the brain yourselves." The family members sat silent as they absorbed the news. After a great length of time, someone asked, "Well, how much does a brain cost?" The doctor quickly responded, "$5,000 for a male brain, and $200 for a female brain." The moment turned awkward. Men in the room tried not to smile; avoiding eye contact with the women, but some actually smirked. One man, unable to control his curiosity, blurted out the question everyone wanted to ask, "Why is the male brain so much more expensive?" The doctor smiled at the childish innocence and said to the entire group, "It's just standard pricing procedure. We have to mark down the price of the female brains, because they've been used." Keeping all kidding aside, let’s answer this age old question; evaluate what we know up to this point, scientifically as well as culturally. Are women really superior to men? Now research is confirming that the brains of men and women are somewhat different. Studies show that human male brains are, on average, approximately 10 percent larger than female brains. Certain brain areas in women, however, contain more nerve cells. We must pay special interest on the amount of “gray matter,” the part of the brain that allows us to think. The researchers wanted to know if women have as much gray matter as men or more to make up for the smaller brains. Later, it was proven that women have 55.4 percent gray matter, vs. 50.8 in men. Men listen with only one side of their brains, while women use both, according to information on brain imaging presented in November 2002, at the 86th Scientific Assembly and Annual Meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA). Other research suggests that on average the female brain performs better on some skills, while the male brain executes other tasks at a higher level. It makes sense that brains vary between the sexes. Each sex had a very defined role in ancient time, which helped ensure the survival of the human race. Cave men hunted. Cave women gathered food near the home, and cared for the children. None of these show superiority, but does show that we are made differently, with different needs, and different ideas. Why do we then compare for superiority, or even expect the other to be just like us? It is important to realize that man and women are made differently, for a reason. Especially women, need someone she can talk to, share her ideas with and grow with. Man need to hunt, to protect, not ask for directions when they are lost, or I should say just be Men. In old times, especially in Asian and Eastern cultures, women had many disadvantages (compared to now). Male Emperors would marry many women. Society did not provide woman with many rights. Women were pretty much confined to their homes. However, despite of these disadvantages, there were few women who had access to that woman wisdom, or power. Now, what was the difference between those women, who found their power, vs. those who did not? The answer is synergy. These powerful women were each other’s support. No jealousies, no putting other women down; just supporting each other to the best of their ability. In fact, when the male emperor would mate with one of his wives, other wives would take care of that wife ahead of time. Give her massages, feed her wonderful and healthy foods, talk to her, and provide her with all the emotional support that was needed. Today, women have more rights, more freedom, better living conditions. They are lot more aggressive, but they still do not feel as empowered, peaceful and in control. In today’s society, the concept of women bonding is pretty much lost. Even when a woman goes to different feminine organizations, her goal is networking, improving her business, and benefiting anything and everything, but herself. If you pay close attention and realize that the difference between a plant, which is alive, and a plant which is dead, is the plant which is alive, is growing. In order for our children to survive, and humankind to flourish in the future, our children must evolve beyond us. In order for them to go beyond us, they need to understand life from all points of view, both male and female. That is why we are here, to teach, to guide, and to help the universe expand and evolve with our differences. One day I was flipping TV channels where I came across one of those shows where a priest was giving a sermon. He asked something very interesting to his congregations. The question was, “What is the best thing a father can do for their children”? The answer was “Love their mother”. Now this is something I have learned all through my life in my family as to how much powerful a woman can be. I do not mean physically or even mentally. In fact, I grew up learning that my brothers were much smarter and stronger then I was. But there was always this converse of women power or women wisdom, which was always talked about, but was never clarified. Many women do not realize that their superiority and strength comes from bonding with other women. Man can’t full fill all of your needs and desires. When it comes to emotional bonding, which usually comes from talking, sharing and connecting, girlfriends are the key. Cherish your friends, and specially your women friendships. Both Man and woman need to be supportive and a source of strength for each other, but timing is the key. Women who have other women to bond with, to share with, to educate and grow with, have more peaceful marriages. These women do not desire to talk to their husbands as soon as he walks into the home, tired from work. In fact, they become source of strength and support for him. More then half of the marriages end up in divorce in this country. Some time it feels that all the advancement are coming to us with a hefty price. More and more women find themselves helpless, in one form or the other. All it boils down to is that all the power and freedom did not come with the wisdom it required. Woman before us got us the power to move forward, now, it is our responsibility to add wisdom to this power before passing on to our next generation. The difference between man and women are logical. It makes sense that brains vary between the sexes. Men tend to be more natural-born protectors while women are natural-born nurturers. When women use these natural abilities to form, cultivate, and foster business relationships, they can create lasting business associations in the business circle. To answer the question, are women superior to men? The answer is, it does not really matter, if we choose not to use that power and wisdom already given to us. From the beginning of the time, only a handful of women are using their full power and wisdom. They understand, and choose to learn and choose to use their strengths. Whether you are a at-home mom or a working women, understanding and connecting with other woman, educating ourselves and truly supporting each other, will help us be who we naturally are, phenomenal women.

Women have mixed emotions regarding the effect of hysterectomy on sexual response and sexual identity. Most woman go on to have a normal sex life, some have a heightened response, while others are less able to have a sexual response following hysterectomy due to their perceived loss of femininity. Some women may notice a change in their sexual response after the uterus has been removed. For example, uterine contractions a woman might have associated with orgasm may no longer be perceived. Other women may experience a heightened response. This may be due to the fact that they no longer have to worry about getting pregnant and no longer have tremendous pain or dysfunctional bleeding. If the ovaries are not removed, the outer genitals and the vagina are not affected and remain lubricated when a woman is sexually aroused. If the ovaries are removed at the time of hysterectomy, vaginal dryness may be a problem during sexual intercourse. Vaginal dryness can be helped with the use of estrogen cream. During a hysterectomy your doctor removes vaginal tissue. This may make the vagina shorter. Deep thrusting during intercourse may be painful. Changing positions during intercourse may help, such as being on top or bringing your legs closer together. Recently interest in supracervical hysterectomies (where the cervix is not removed at time of hysterectomy) has grown out of speculation that women might enjoy better sexual function after hysterectomy when the cervix is left in place. A new study has found there is no difference in sexual function or quality of life when a supracervical hysterectomy is performed instead of a total abdominal hysterectomy. Post hysterectomy depression may interfere with sexual response. Depression may follow a hysterectomy from a concept that femininity and an intact functioning uterus are one. Some women link their self-image with reproductive ability. Menses reminds a woman of her uniqueness where hysterectomy takes away this cue. Many women have a brief emotional reaction to the loss of the uterus and ovaries that erodes their sense of well-being and femininity. Forget "fight or flight" as the only duo of responses in the face of stress. For women, there's a third response: "befriend". A landmark UCLA study turned five decades of stress research on its head with the revelation that a cascade of brain chemicals gives women a larger behavioral repertoire when confronted with stress. The hormone oxytocin is released as part of the stress response in women. It controls the fight/flight response and, instead, encourages her to tend children and gather with other women. Accordingly to co-researcher Dr. Laura Cousino Klein, now assistant professor of bio-behavioral health at Penn State, the study suggests that this "tending and befriending" response to oxytocin produces a calming effect. Although it will take new studies to reveal all the ways in which oxytocin encourages women to care for children and band together, it might also explain why women consistently outlive men.I have addressed numerous women's conferences and corporate networks of women and I can attest to the observable behavior that participants leave these sessions feeling stronger, encouraged, and positive. I believe they also leave healthier. The famed Nurses Health Study from Harvard Medical School found that the more friends people have, they less likely they are to develop physical ailments and the more likely they are to cope better with challenges.Sadly, today's busy agendas often find women canceling the most positive and healthy thing they can do: gather with other women to engage in the kind of "rapport" and "report" talk that hallmark feminine conversations. Today, women are starting businesses at twice the rate of men and becoming a major force both in the traditional and the new global e-business marketplace. In November, The National Women's Council's Interagency Committee on Women's Business Enterprise prepared and presented to the 2000 Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development Conference a case study (http://www.nwbc.gov/oecd.pdf) on successful public and private initiatives for fostering entrepreneurship among women. It notes the significant role women have played in the recent economic prosperity and affirms the fact that "countries with high levels of economic activity and with the highest start-up business rates are the ones where women are well-engaged in entrepreneurial activity." More intriguing still, small businesses owned by women and minorities are focusing more intense efforts on exporting than those owned by non-minority men. The U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) Office of International Trade, in a statistical report released last year, indicated that "America’s small businesses are big players in international trade — and their role is growing rapidly." Export data analysis (http://www.sba.gov/library/oitreport/oitnov99report.html) shows that 97 percent of U.S. companies that export are small businesses and women own 40 percent of all small businesses (http://www.sba.gov/news/speeches/alvarez112900.html). Are you one of those fabulous women that has curves, and you would like to know a fun way of showing them off? There are several ways to make your figure look the way that you want. It is all in the manner that you carry yourself. Being confident and following a few basic rules on how to dress will make you look like the woman you want to be.
The first rule is to go out and buy the correct size bra. A good bra will make your outfits look the way that they should. Having curves is a wonderful thing to have, but you need to know how to make them fit right with your clothing style. It is amazing what a great bra can do for your figure.
The second rule is buying clothes that are the right size for you. So, go ahead and throw away all those clothes that are too baggy on you. Say hello to a more fun, alive figure. Stop hiding it. Wearing sizes too big or small for your body frame will only accentuate your weight, and not your lovely curves. You do not want to wear shapeless styles. Try wearing semi-fitted separates. It will make you look taller and thinner, and make it look like you have a more sculpted waist. Wear tops that just skim your waist and hips. Jackets should be worn just to the length of your fingertips. As for your bottoms, select clothes that tend to taper downwards. It will look better than other styles. Skirts will look good if they are not too high. If you can sit in your skirt without it ridding up on you, then you are all set. Shift dresses are great especially with a round neckline. It will even out your proportions wonderfully.
The third rule is not to wear anything that is too bold, and that calls extra attention to yourself. That means no super bold prints, no big patch pockets, no oversized buttons or bows, and no horizontal patterns. You want to wear a nice crisp line of color, and then accessorize with just a few simple accessories such as jewelry or a scarf. Sometimes even just wearing one solid color all over is great look. It will add height to your frame, and shrink your width.
The last rule is very easy. You should buy the best quality that you can afford. Quality fabrics can make all the difference in how you look. Fine fabrics look better than stiff fabrics that can add inches onto your body. In addition, well-made clothes will hold their shape better. Better shape will improve your shape too. If you follow all these rules, you will look and feel better. So go out, and let your light shine. Better clothes, for a better you!
